Music performed and more music planned

Last weekend was a great mix of music and family – in something like 72 hours we performed two concerts in support of the release of The Other Brothers‘ new CD, Everything Can Change, and we managed to fit in three birthday parties and some unstructured family visiting time… It was a blast of fresh air in this reluctant spring.

We’ve got another performance lined up for next month in Waterloo at the Mennofolk festival which opens the Sound In The Land conference.  Visit the shows page for details.

Manitoba trip drawing near

We’ve been busy preparing for our trip to Manitoba in support of The Other Brothers CD release.  It’s going to be a very quick trip – but it’s going to be worth it.  We get to play two shows with top-notch musicians, we get to see a bunch of  our friends and family, and we have an excuse to work up some new material.  We’ve got some interesting irons in the fire that may have the ghosts of Tin Pan Alley rolling in their grave.  Or maybe they’ll appreciate our take on their Depression songs.

Check out our Shows page for dates and details.

New visions for old eyes

The Land is excited to be opening for The Other Brothers in support of their sophomore release, Everything Can Change.  I would highly recommend heading over to www.theotherbrothers.ca for more.  The CD release shows take place at the Morden Friendship Centre on May 2 and the West End Cultural Centre on May 4.
